Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the measuring accuracy of the contamination of the test gas such as air ever-changing by invariably maintaining the gas pressure in the gas cell at the given low level with means of having the gas introduced into and exhausted out of the gas cell. CONSTITUTION:A sample gas passes through an introduced gas volume control valve 2 of gas introducing means 10 from an introduction inlet 1 and is always introduced continuously into a gas cell 3. On the other hand, a gas exhaust port 4 is provided at the other end of the cell 3 and an exhaust device 5 mounted to the port 4 always exhausts gas inside the cell 3. The gas introduction means 10 has a gauge 6 mounted to a gas branch tube 7 to measure the gas pressure in the cell 3. The output of the gauge 6 is applied to a gas setting device 8 adapted to output the voltage corresponding to the gas pressure and actuates a device for opening and closing the introduced gas volume control valve 2 by the electric signal from the device 8. Thus the gas pressure on the cell 3 can be invariably maintained at the given low level. Therefore, it is possible to measure the contamination of air ever- changing at a high accuracy.
