Abstract
PURPOSE:To separate the car cooler automatically for acceleration and prevent accelerating performance from deterioration by connecting a suitable electric circuit with a diaphragm switch which operates by the rise of the sucked negative pressure at the downstream part of a throttle valve when an engine is accelerated. CONSTITUTION:Chambers 1, 2 are separated from the atmosphere by a cover 7 and partitioned by a diaphragm 3 with the exception that they are connected by an orifice 4. The diaphragm 3 is pushed by a spring 5 toward the chamber 1 and the contact 6 of a switch is closed. The chamber 1 is connected with a place with suction pressure of the engine at the downstream part of a throttle valve through a connecting hole 8 and a rubber tube. When the sucked absolute pressure increases suddenly when the engine is accelerated, the pressure of the chamber 1 increases, too, the diaphragm 3 is pushed toward the chamber 2 and the electric contact 6 is opened. Thus, the car cooler is separated from the engine and acceleration performance is prevented from deterioration.
