Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the quality of printing, by making thermal capacity differ, correcting the dispersion of the quantity of heat accumulated in case of continuous recording and by making recording concentration constant wherein the thickness or substance of a heat interrupting layer is changed at the both end portions and center portion of a one line type heat sensitive recording head. CONSTITUTION:The both end portions and center portion of a one line type heat sensitive recording head are formed so that thermal capacity by means of a heat interrupting layer differ. In a film head, a graze layer (a glass layer) 5 is made up on a substrate 1 for heat insulation, and the heat interrupting function is altered. In the perspective view of the heat sensitive recording head, electrodes 23 are connected to each dot, and all electrodes 23 are connected to a common electrode 22. The thickness of the heat interrupting layer 25 at the both end portions A, C and the center portion B is made differ. That is, the accumulation of heat at the center portion is made less than the heat generating portions of the both end portions A, C by thinning the thickness of the heat interrupting layer 25 of the center portion, and the dispersion of coloring concentration at the center portion and the both end portions is decreased.
