Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a structure which permits easy discharge of the drain between each compression stage even in a centrifugal multi-stage compressor in barrel structure, in a single shaft multi-stage centrifugal compressor which deals the gas which contains heavy damped liquid mist in intake gas.
CONSTITUTION: Natural gas 14 which contains heavy damped liquid mist is inhaled from a suction nozzle 7 and compressed by the vane wheel 10 in each stage and gets a prescribed pressure, then the gas is discharged as high pressure natural gas 15 from a discharge nozzle 8. Heavy damped liquid mist is accumulated in liquid form in the lower part of each return channel. In discharging drain, when a control valve 16 is opened, and liquid natural gas in high pressure is supplied to a liquid natural gas chamber 13, the gas pushes and opens a ball 11A arranged at the opening end part of a drain discharge passage 17 and flows from the primary side of a venturi 19 having a drain intake port 20 to the secondary side, so the mixed gas of liquid natural gas and of heavy damped liquid portion pushes and opens a ball 11 B and flows to the discharge nozzle 8.
