Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively performing the sealing of the scroll compressor by providing an oil groove at the tip of a volute member of a fixed scroll, and connecting the oil groove to an oil supply port through a passage having a throttle.
CONSTITUTION: An oil groove 91 is provided at the tip end of the volute member of a fixed scroll 1. This oil groove 91 is connected to an oil supply port 93 through a passage 92 having a throttle 94. Oil separated by an oil separator is reduced of its pressure through an oil supply port 93 by a throttle 94, and reaches the oil groove 91 and flows in the compression chamber from the oil groove 91 through a minute gap between the fixed scroll 1 and swinging scroll. Upon this occasion, the oil flows out in correspondence to the pressure difference between the oil and gas, and is prevented from leaking by the compressed gas is introduced along a minute gap between the tip of fixed scroll teeth 49 and the bottom plate of the swinging scroll, and therefore sealing can be performed effectively.
