Abstract
PURPOSE:To dry in excellent grain size composition and improve the productivity and yield, by charging pelletized undried flux into the inlet of rotary kiln type drying machine by disposing a belt conveyor of specified peripheral speed. CONSTITUTION:A guide plate 13 for scatter prevention of flux 16 is provided at the entry side of a retort 1 of a rotary kiln type drying machine, and a belt conveyor 11 for charging pelletized undried flux having a peripheral speed of 2 to 15m/sec is disposed by preserving a distance L between a retort inlet 18 and the end of conveyor. The accelerated flux 16 passes through the inlet 18 at high speed to surpass the low temperature region l1 while drawing a locus B, and falls in the maximum distance l2 to be dried. As a result, eliminating troubles experienced in the conventional method derived from depositing or caking of flux at the charge inlet due to overheat, the gain size composition after drying is excellent, the productivity is increased, and products of stable quality may be obtained.
