Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify a connection between stations with the number of wired bilateral transmission lines reduced by exercising a supervision over the endmost terminal station making use of level variation in pilot frequency, by folding a resistance supervisory line at a supervisory station right before the endmost terminal station of wired bilateral transmission lines. CONSTITUTION:Repeater 8 of supervisory station 1 is sequentially connected to repeaters 9 and 10 of station 2 to be supervised, and repeater 10 is connected to repeater 11 of endmost station 3 to be supervised; and repeater 11 of supervised station 3 is sequentially connected to repeaters 13 and 14 of supervised station 2, and repeater 14 is connected to repeater 15 of supervisory station 1. Further, resistance supervisory unit 7 of supervisory station 1 is connected to resistance supervisory line 6 exercising a supervision over the resistance value of each supervised station 2, and this resistance supervisory line 6 is foled at supervised station 2 right before endmost supervised station 3. Then, a supervision over the endmost supervised station 3 is exercised by making use of level variation of pilot frequencies F1 and F2 of up circuit 4 and down circuit 5 and the number of signal lines between supervised station 2 and endmost supervised station 3 provided with repeaters 10 and 13.
