Abstract

PURPOSE:To make outgoing coil lead unnecessary and thus raise the degree of freedom of coil constitution by using linking wires composed of plural superconductive fine wires in connecting superconductive coil with power lead or in providing linking part between coils. CONSTITUTION:In connecting two superconductive coils 1a and 1b, a block of plural superconductive fine wires of Nb3Sn is laid between them as linking wires 5. Linking wires are formed: first insulator 8 and then copper plate 9 are placed in the groove made in spool 3 and fine wires 6 in plural number are laid on the copper plate so that their block has a given thickness. Then solder 10 is melted into the block and thus linking wires stabilized by copper plate 9 are formed finally. Coils 1a and 1b are connected respectively with the ends of linking wires 5. In this way deterioration of coils 1a and 1b can be prevented and the degree of freedom of coil constitution is raised because of its easy handling.
