Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the formation of porosity in weld zone and perform sure welding by forming a gas vent path near the molten part of the work by an electron beam.
CONSTITUTION: An annular groove 5 is formed over the entire circumference of the inner position remaining the portion 4 corresponding to electron beam melting on the inside circumferential surface of a clutch gear 1. The notch grooves 6, 6 communicating with said annular groove 5 are formed at a number of positions on the circumference of the inside side face 1b of the clutch gear 1 and said notch gears 6, 6 are communicated with the non-filled part 7 provided on one side face of a speed-change gear 2. This non-filled part 7 is extended at least up to the larger diameter position than the tooth bottom diameter of the clutch gear 1 and is held open to the outside, as a result of which the foregoing annular groove 5 is constituted as the gas vent path opened to the outside by way of the notch grooves 6, 6 and non-filled part 7. Hence, with this constitution, welding is surely accomplished without producing any large porosity.
