Abstract
PURPOSE: To give good water-tightness and damp-proof property to insulated wire by coating polyesteramide on a conductor and baking the coating, the polyesteramide being obtd. by reacting dialkylester of arom. diamidodicarboxylic acid with polyhydric alcohol.
CONSTITUTION: From 10W100 equivalents of (C) dialkylester of arom. diamido dicarboxylic acid of formula II (wherein R1 is ethyl, R2 is divalent arom. gp.) resulting from the reaction of (A) monoalkylester of arom. dicarboxylic acid of formula I (where R1 is alkyl). if necessary together with other monoalkyl ester of dicarboxylic acid, and (B) arom. diisocyanate, if necessary together with other diidocyanate, or a mixture of (C') dialkylesters of diamidodicarboxylic acids of the (C) component, is reacted with from 105W180 equivalents of polyhydric alcohol, if necessary in combination with from 0W90 equivalents of (E) other carboxylic acid to obtain polyesteramide. A conductor is coated with the product. The coating is baked to obtain the desired insulated wire.
