Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain polyamide-imide resin with excellent electrical/mechanical property, chemical resistance and heat resistance and water-soluble resin for a heat- resistant paint by reacting a polycarboxylic acid containing acid anhydride group, trimesic acid, and polyisocyanate.
CONSTITUTION: Polycarboxylic acid (A) having one or more of acid anhydride group in one molecule, trimesinic acid (B) and polyisocyanate (C) and, if necessary, other polycarboxylic acids are reacted at eq. ratio of carboxyl group to isocyanate group of 1.0W1.4 to produce polyamide-imide resin. Therein, as the (A), trimellitic acid anhydride, pyromellitic acid anhydride or the like, as the other polycarboxylic acid, terephthalic acid or the like, as the (C), tolylene diisocyanate or the like are used. Polyamide-imide resin is synthesized such that the eq. ratio of carboxyl group to isocyanate group is 1.0W1.4.
