Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the aggravation of environments of slag removing work by spraying the dustproofing agent containing the specific silicic acid material and water soluble alkali metal compound on the molten metal surface in a ladle. CONSTITUTION:When the dustproofing agent containing 70% or more of silicic acid material whose SiO2 content is 40% or more and further compounded with a small amount of water soluble alkali metal compound is sprayed on molten metal surface at the time of receiving molten metal such as blast furnace molten iron in a ladle, then it readily melts, diffuses and floats, thereby adsorbing and capturing dust. Hence, the production of dust accompanying the slag removing work is prevented and the working environment may be maintained extremely well.
