Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent gas leakage from two chambers, by providing an intermediate pressure chamber on the side of a crank chamber of a gas engine having compression and expansion spaces. CONSTITUTION:Cylinder 1 forming compression space 3 and cylinder 11 forming expansion space 13 are connected by means of pipe path 10 having cooler 21 and heat accumulator 22, and thereby a gas engine is constructed. The operations of pistons 2, 21 of cylinders 1, 11 are transmitted to prime mover 38 via crankshaft 32 in crank chamber 36. Crank chamber 36 is partitioned by wall 42, and intermediate pressure chamber 37 is placed above it, to which gas is supplied from gas supply 39 via reducing valve 40. Pipe 10 and intermediate pressure chamber 37 are connected by means of narrow pipe 23 and filter 41; when the amount of gas in the pipes is reduced, gas is supplied from intermediate pressure chamber 37.
