Abstract

PURPOSE: To simply attach or detach a magnetic flaw detector to or from a rope by magnetizing the rope via a pair of left and right magnetic pole pieces each having split holes for passing running rope to thereby detect the leaked magnetic flux.
CONSTITUTION: Magnetic pole pieces 4, 5 and a detecting coil 1 are split to pass a rope 1 with a connector 6 coated over the rope 1 and connected via screws onto the pieces 4 and 5. Thus, it becomes extremely easy and in short time to attach or detach the rope 1 to or from an exciter 2 to thereby remarkably improve the handling operation. The detecting coil 8 must be selected in the inner radius of a detecting coil 7 to meet the outer diameter of the rope 1, but detecting coils 8a, 8b adapted to the outer diameter of the rope is fixed in advance to the connector 5 side via screws.
