Abstract

PURPOSE: To guide the thin alloy strip without causing entangement and bending, by installing the guide pipe from neighborhood of the peeling position of the rotary cooler to the coiler, and by passing the high-speed air current through the guide pipe for guiding the thin alloy strip.
CONSTITUTION: The molten metal 3 is continuously injected or drained from the tip of nozzle 2 of the molten metal feeder; this molten metal contacts with the surface of rotary coller 1 being rotated at high speed, and is quanched and carried with the rotation of the cooler 1; hereby, the thin alloy strip 4 is obtained. This thin alloy strip 4 is introduced into the guide pipe 6 installed between the neighborhood of the peeling position and the coiler 5; at the same time, the high-speed air current is passed in the direction from the peeling position to the coiler 5 in order to guide the thin alloy strip 4 along the high-speed air current; after being separated from the high-speed air current at the mesh 7 fixed to neighborhood of the exit of the guide pipe 6, the tip of the thin alloy strip 4 is fed into the coiler 5 and is coiled.
