Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable gas turbine to operate continuously for long, by providing all of essential means of fuel system in pairs, providing an accumulator in a common pipe communicated to the outlet of two pumps in each fuel system, and controlling the fuel flow rate of the two system by means of a control circuit.
CONSTITUTION: During ordinary operation of gas turbine, shut-off valve 3 and valves 17, 19, 20, 22 are all in their opened position and either one of both of a pair of fuel pumps 4 are kept in operation. Flow control valves 6 are controlled on the basis of load setting signal 14, and revolutional-number signals from flow dividers 8 serving to divided fuel flow are added in adder 21 and used as flow-rate feedback signal. Here, if gas turbine is operated with either one of pumps 4 and trouble is caused with the pump, the other pump is set into operation. Under such circumstances, fuel supply during the period required for switching the fuel line is achieved by accumulator 18, so that combustor 11 can be kept in operation continuously.
