Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable many and diversified kinds parts such as nuts to be produced with one unit of parts former by sliding the block mounted with a chuck unit by way of a mounting plate forward and backward with respect to the machine bed on the former machine bed according to blanks.
CONSTITUTION: A chuck unit mounting plate 15 which is pivotally connected by means of a pair of right and left oscillating parallel links 13 reciprocates in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the figure. When the blank is relatively long, a set-bolt 58 is loosened and the sliding block 32 consisting of a slide bed 56, bridge plate 41, fulcrum shaft 8, oscillating parallel links 13, sector-form gear 20, mounting plate 15, oscillating rod 50, etc. is moved forward on the former machine bed 1 along an oblong guide groove 57, after which the bolt 58 is retightened to fix the block.
