Abstract

PURPOSE: To suppress a particular frequency component of torque ripples generated by a motor, by selectively amplifying the particular frequency component in the output signal of torque sensor and controlling a frequency converter by said signal.
CONSTITUTION: An induction motor M obtaines power from a frequency converter 8a and drives a load 3 by way of a rotary shaft 2. An angular speed is sensed from the ratary shaft 2 by an angular-speed sensor 9, and a primary current is taken out from the motor M by a current transformer 10, and both signals are input to a torque sensor 11 which calculates the instantaneous torque values. The output thereof enters into a tuning circuit 12, wherein only a frequency component that is equal to the resonant frequency of a mechanical system us amplified, thereby the frequency converter 8a is controlled. Therefore, a particular frequency component in the harmonic-torque ripples contained in the generated torque can be suppressed, and the damping effect can be applied to the resonance of the mechanical system.
