Abstract
PURPOSE:To make mutual connection operation simple, prevent radiation of light output to the outside and eliminate damages of optical fibers owing to external force by coupling a plug part and an adapter part within the rack in which a transmission apparatus is housed. CONSTITUTION:When a panel 14 is inserted into a rack 10, the optical connection of an optical 13 and the in-rack code 11 is accomplished by a plug part 12 and a connector adapter part 15. The receptacle 16 of the plug part is installed to the in- rack fixing frame 17. In an outer cylindrical pipe 18, the terminal member 21 fixed with an optical fiber 20 is fixed to an intermediate cylindrical pipe 19 by way of a spring 22 and the pipe 19 is fixed in a movable state to the pipe 18 by way of a spring 23. An optical code 24 for in-rack wiring is held fixed to the pipe 18. In the adapter part, on the other hand, a receptacle 26 is fixed to the frame 25 of the panel and an outer cylindrical pipe 27, an intermediate cylindrical pipe 28, and an inner cylindrical pipe 30 having a sleeve 29 for the member 21 are provided.
