るよう軸対称に形成された第1の2個の被係止部と、前
記各プラグハウジングの2個の係止部と係止するよう軸
対称に形成された第2の2個の被係止部とを有し、かつ
前記第1の被係止部と前記第2の被係止部とは各々の対
称軸が互いに直交するように形成されてなる中間部材を
設けたので、偏波保持光フアイバ同士をコネクタ接続し
ようとするときに互いの主軸方向の角度を精度良く合わ
せることができ、かつプラグハウジングに対しフェルー
ルを浮動させる二重嵌合方式を実現させることができる
ため、光ファイバの主軸方向とその直角方向の消光比と
して(−)30dBを実現し、かつ外力に対しても信頓
性の高い接続特性を実現できる利点がある。
