Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize the practical use of the thickness shear oscillator unit for the small-size and high-accuracy watch use by assembling the thickness shear oscillator unit into the unit using the small-size long cylindrical container. CONSTITUTION:The oblong thickness shear oscillator is stored into the long cylindrical container in such way that the long-side direction of the oscillator may be parallel to container cylindrical plane 15. Lead terminals 4 and 5 connecting to support terminals 16 and 17 are sealed in airtight insulation at only one bottom surface 13 of container bottom surfaces 13 and 14. And oscillator end part 2 of the sealed part side is supported in adhesion by short support component 16 with oscillator end part 3 of the opposite side supported by long support component 17 extending along the long side of the oscillator and also surrounding the oscillator. In this unit structure, the both end parts in the long side direction of the oscillator can be supported in adhesion by lead terminals 4 and 5 featuring a short distance between the sealed parts and in a small area. Thus, an oscillator unit can be obtained with a small crystal impedance and excellent impact-resistant performance.
