Abstract

PURPOSE: To add additive metal surely and evenly in molten steel by blowing the metal in powder form together with inert gas into the molten steel with an immersion lance at the time of adding the metal to the molten steel.

Hence, the additive metal powder A is utilized with good yield and the hydrogen contained in the molten steel 2 is discharged by becoming bubbles, thus hydrogen brittleness may be prevented.
