Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture the one-way type electromagnetic steel sheet provided with extremely excellent magnetic characteristic, by adding extremely small amount of Te to MnS and/or MnSe as the inhibitor so as to develop the composite action. CONSTITUTION:The silicon steel sheet is manufactured with the composition arranged as follows; under 0.06% C, 2.0-4.0% Si, 0.01-0.10% Mn, and additionally, either one or both of 0.010-0.050% S, 0.005-0.100% Se, and if necessary, 0.01-0.10% Sb, are included so as not to permit the total amount of above S, Se, Sb, to exceed 0.100%; furthermore, 0.001-0.020% Te is added so as to make the ratio Te/X to be under 0.5, in which X means the total amount of above S, Se, Sb. This sheet is hot rolled by the authorized method, and is passed repeatedly through the annealing, and the cold rolling; hereby, the cold rolled steel sheet is prepared. Next, the decarburization and the final finishing annealing are applied for developing the secondary recrystallized grain in the direction (110) [001], and the titled steel sheet is obtained.
