Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the electrolytic corrosion, in case of the low potential metal and the high potential metal making contact, by metalizing the intermediate potential metal on the contact part.
CONSTITUTION: In case of the low potential metal 4 and the high potential metal 5 making contact, the intermediate potential metal is metalized 6 on the side of metal 4. The metalization 6 can be applied to either one or both of two metals 4, 5. Hereby, the potential difference between two metals 4, 5, can be reduced, which then makes possible the electrolytic corrosion of the metal 4 to be reduced. This method is suitable for preventing the electrolytic corrosion at the end part of the heat exchanger tubes of the seawater demineralizing plant, or the condenser, etc., included in the boiler, or the nuclear power plant which is utilizing the seawater as the cooling water.
