Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the information of the quality control of a thickness deflection rate, etc. in an on-line shape, by measuring the thickness of pipes in non-contact shapes by mounting a head driving mechanism and a lifting mechanism of a measuring frame, which disposes and supports an ultrasonic-wave measuring head in a water jet nozzle system, to the measuring frame.
CONSTITUTION: The nominal dimensions of a pipe to be measured are beforehand input to a control portion of a different diameter pipe detector B prior to the conveyance of the pipe. After water column from a water column head of the measuring head 54 is stabilized, the thickness of the pipe is measured by means of an ultrasonic-wave measuring device every 10mm pipe axial length. The value is operated at an operation portion, and the pipe thickness maximum value, the minimum value, mean pipe thickness and a thickness deflection rate are successively acquired every section.
