Abstract
PURPOSE: To constantly control the flow of the material to be rolled between stands in a feed forward manner by positively detecting the interstand tension fluctuations owing to rolling condition fluctuations and the mass flow fluctuations that become the case for loop amount fluctuations with an AGC and the like and stably and rapidly absorbing the fluctuations of mass flow.
CONSTITUTION: The screw-down position Si detected 31 with the i-th stand 21 and the detected 41 rolling force Fi are inputted to an outlet side thickness operating device 51, which operates the thickness hi by the equation I.
