Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable forming of large insulating washers without a large molding press facility by dividing an insulating washer of predetermined shape into a plurality of sectional pieces, then connecting the respective sectional pieces and hardening to form the connected portion of the sectional pieces.
CONSTITUTION: An insulating washer 10 is, for example, divided longitudinally into two sectional pieces to form a pair of sectional peices 11. A predetermined number of the pieces 11 are alternatively laminated with a predetermined number of cloth-like base materials 13 treated by semihardened synthetic resin in such a manner that coupling fibrous materials 14 not treated with resin are arranged in the gaps formed by the materials 13 at the end of their coupling side. The laminate is then pressed to be hardened. Then, both side pieces 11 are faced to each other oppositely, cloth-like inserting materials 15 and 16 treated by semihardened resin are arranged at their connecting portion 12, and are thermally pressure molded integrally as an insulating washer 10. Thus, even when large insulating washer is manufactured, it does not need large molding press facility.
