Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to reduce or prevent variation in output frequency by separately sampling and holding a FM-modulation output signal component and reference signal output signal and then by performing a subtraction process between both holding outputs.
CONSTITUTION: Low-pass filter 41 extracts the mean value of the output signal of frequency discriminator 17 and sample holding circuit 42 samples and holds an input voltage by sampling pulses supplied when high-frequency switch 21 selects the output of intermediate-frequency amplifier 15. Further, sample holding circuit 43 samples and holds an input voltage by sampling pulses supplied when switch 21 selects the output of reference signal generator 22. The outputs of circuits 42 and 43 are subtracted mutually by deffirential amplifier 45 and its output has a switching signal removed by LPF19 and is supplied as an AFC feedback signal to modulating amplifier 11. In this way, a signal which is in proportion to a difference between the mean value of the output frequency of amplifier 15 and the output frequency of genrator 22 can be obtained at the output side of LPF19.
