Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable efficient detecting of even a single component existing in a region of other frequency than a sampling frequency, by a method wherein an integration circuit is connected between a step wave voltage generator and a voltage control oscillator. CONSTITUTION:A step wave output a of a step wave voltage generator is applied to a voltage control type oscillator via an integration circuit 8, and a high-frequency signal, applied to an input terminal 1, is mixed with the output of the oscillator 7 by means of a mixer 2 for the application of it to a decoder 4 via an amplifier 3. A signal level, having a component corresponding to a frequency at an initial rising of each step wave, appears at an output of a sample hold 5 to which a sampling pulse c from a differential circuit 10 is applied. Meanwhile, a comparator 11 sends a sampling signal d when an input level is larger than the output level of the hold circuit 5, and a maximum signal level among sampling frequencies is extracted from an output terminal 6. This permits the efficient detection of a frequency component extending over even a full region of frequency among the sampling frequencies in addition to the sampling frequencies.
