Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the equipping cost of an apparatus for absorbing hydrogen chloride in the exhausted gas of a combustion furnace through the mechanism wherein the heated gas to be treated is passed between a large number of particles descending along the surface of a tray of inclined grate structure and the like and an absorbent supplying apparatus, a particle exhausting apparatus and the like are installed.
CONSTITUTION: A large number of particles 5 with high spherical degree are descended from a hopper 1 of a gas absorbing apparatus positioned in front of a electric dust collecting apparatus 11 along the surface of a grate like or net like zigzag tray 2, 3 inclined at about 20W25° while the thickness of particle layer is maintained and high temperature gas to be treated containing hydrogen chloride is introduced from an inlet 9 and a absorbing liquid such as calcium hydroxide suspension and the like is supplied from a nozzle along the same direction of the gas. The absorbing liquid is contacted with particles 5 and instantaneously evaporated to absorb hydrogen chloride effectively. The exhausted gas is rectified through the particles 5 and flowed to a cottrell 11, on the other hand, the particles 5 are exhausted through a feeder while reaction products are reparated by abrasion. As a result, the cottrell size can be reduced and the equipment cost is drastically reduced compared to conventional methods.
