Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain desired shape easily, to facilitate the handling, and to improve the dielectric strength of lead wire after sealing, by employing complex sealing material composed of glass fiber core coverd with frit glass having low melting point.
CONSTITUTION: Anode segment composed of insulated board 1 such as glass coated with fluorescent material is arranged in EI shape, for example, while complex sealing material 4 composed of fiber glass tape 4a covered with frit glass having lower melting point is cut to such dimension as matching with that of substrate 1 and arranged at peripheral sealed portion of substrate 1, then transparent glass container 3 is applied while holding the complex sealing material 4 and sealed at melting point of low melting point frit glass 4b. Consequently the sealing material can be reinforced while the handling is facilitated and the dielectric strength of lead wire after sealing is improved.
