Abstract

CONSTITUTION: The rotor is manufactured by melting an element mixt. consisting of, by wt., C 0.05W0.3%, Si≤0.1%, Mn 0.3W1.5%, Cr 9W13%, Mo 0.5W2%, V 0.1W0.5%, Ni 1W2.5%, Nb 0.01W0.5%, N 0.01W0.1%, and the balance Fe, etc. followed by vacuum deoxidation, casting, heating to a predetermined temp., conversion into an austenite structure, tempering and final conversion into a martensite structure. The chromium equivalent of the compsn. represented by the equation is pref. regulated to 11 or below. This alloy is suitable for use as a material for a mixed press. type turbine rotor which is considered to be unsuitable for a conventional rotor material.
