Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the title film of superior mass-productivity, which film is formed at a relatively low temp. and easily controlled in thickness, by coating a substrate with a soln. of a tin cpd. and an antimony cpd. in an org. solvent followed by drying, heating and calcination.
CONSTITUTION: A substrate is coated with a soln. of a tin cpd. and an antimony cpd. in an org. solvent, and the coated substrate is dried, heated, and calcined. As the tin cpd. a soln. of tin in a mixt. of acetyl acetone and nitric acid may be used. The acetyl acetone, nitric acid and tin contents of the coating soln. mainly affect the solubility of the tin and the coating property of the soln. The antimony content has an effect on lowering in sheet resistance of the resulting transparent, electrically conductive film. The org. solvent used includes methanol, ethanol and acetone.
