Abstract

PURPOSE:To extend the life of the top facilities of furnace, by installing the controller to memorize the brand of materials in a pair of top bunkers, and by periodically changing over the acceptance of the ore, coke, etc., to be charged into the blast furnace. CONSTITUTION:The signal produced from the controller 18 actuates the driver 19 which turns the top chute C to the top bunker A side for accepting the coke from the coke supply hopper D. Besides, the controller 18 memorizes that the material held in the top bunker A is the coke. The top bunker B is similarly actuated for accepting the ore, and this fact is memorized in the controller 18. During the bunker B is accepting the ore, the driver 19 charges the coke held in the bunker A into the blast furnace. When this coke charge comes to the end, the memory of the controller 18 actuates so as to again accept the coke of the same brand into the bunker A. During this acceptance of the coke, the ore is charged from the bunker B into the blast furnace. According to this system, the frequency of replacement of friction parts can be diminished.
