CONSTITUTION:Upper conductor 2 is formed on one surface of dielectric substrate 1, and at the same time the taper-shaped gap part is formed on conductor 2. Then resistor 12 is provided at the gap part, and the lower conductor is formed on the opposite surface of substrate 1. In such attenuator of the microstrip type, taper- shaped resistor 12 can be provided between conductors 2 and 2. Thus the gentle variation is secured for the surge impedance along with the enhanced input/output impedance. As a result, this attenuator can be applied up to the high frequency region of 20G Hz or more.
