Abstract

PURPOSE:To control the quantity of emission light and prevent the photographic fog of copies by controlling developing bias through the use of the reflected light by the blank exposure lamp on drum. CONSTITUTION:A blank exposure lamp 10 is used in order to detect the surface potentials of the durm 11 of a bright part and the surface of the drum 11 is radiated during foreward revolving and optical system backward moving. The surface potential of this time is measured and according to this detection voltage, the developing bias to be applied to a developing device 25 is controlled. The quantity of light radiation of the drum surface is regulated by a regulating dial to the same quantity of light as the reflected light on the white original in a VR 3.
