Abstract
PURPOSE: To suppress short-circuit currents by giving high impedance to a reactor with an intermediate tap against the short-circuit currents, in the case transformers having three-phase winding for converters are provided to cancel (6K±1) the harmonic.
CONSTITUTION: When the thyristor arm of either of thyristors 6A or 6B is short- circuited, a short-circuit current is flown through each transformer. The short-circuit current from the transformer on the good side flows from one end of a reactor 12 having an intermediate tap to the other end thereof. The reactor 12 having the intermediate tap develops high impedans against said current, thereby the short- circuit current can be suppressed.
