PURPOSE: To miniaturize rectifying circuits while obtaining their characteristics equl to the conventional rectifying devices, by using three-phase half-wave rectifying circuits.
CONSTITUTION: Three-phase half-wave rectifying circuits 6, 7 and 8, 9 are each concatenation-connected, the three-phase half-wave rectifying circuits 6, 8 are provided with diodes 3 as rectifying elements and transformer secondary star winding 10, 11 for a rectifier are wound on the same core so that they mutually have the phase difference of π[rad]. The three-phase half-wave rectifying circuits 7, 9 are equipped with thyristors 4 as rectifying elements, and transformer secondary star winding 12, 13 for the rectifier are wound on the same core in order that the winding 12, 13 mutually have the phase difference or π[rad] and the secondary star winding 12 have the phase difference of π[rad] with the secondary star winding 10. That is, four pairs of three-phase half-wave rectifying circuits form a circuit connected in series.
