Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the correction of the attenuation of signals to image information accurately by making the opening area of a light receiving window arranged on the upper face of a light receiving element array in a shape proportiona to the attenuated amount of arriving light. CONSTITUTION:The opening area of a light receiving window 15 arranged on the upper face of a light receiving element array 1 is formed in a shape proportionate to the attenuated amount of arriving light. For instance, the light receiving element array 1 is formed by dividing plural light receiving elements with an electric charge weir 2 and arranging them in a line in the central part, and on its both sides, transfer gates 3 and 3' and charge transfer parts 4 and 4' are arranged. Then the light receiving window 15 is formed in a shape shown by the hatching lines in the figure with an opaque light shielding film 6 of an aluminium coating, etc. By so doing, the distribution of the attenuated amount of light owing to the light quantity distribution of a projecting light source, the aberation of an optical lens, etc., is corrected easily and the information of an object can be imaged accurately.
