Abstract

PURPOSE: Hollow fiber type membrane separation apparatus which can minimize pressure loss and concentration polarization, in which a plurality of hollow fiber assemblies are connected to one another by a partition member having particular structure, each hollow fiber assembly consisting of permselective hollow fiber.
CONSTITUTION: When fluid to be treated is supplied from an entrance 8, the fluid is passed therough a passage 5 of a partition member 3, a conduit 16 and a flowing part 11 into a hollow fiber layer 12 where reverse osmotic separating operation of the liquid to be treated is carried out by hollow fiber membrane. Permeated liquid is passed through the inside of the hollow fiber and flows out from the end part of the opening of a resin wall 13 to a fluid chamber 17 and is discharged from the fluid outlet 10 to the outside of the process unit. Unpermeated treated fluid traverses the layer 12 is the direction of radius toward surface layer, and is moved from a fluid- treating chamber 4 via a passage 6 of the partition member 3 to a fluid-treating chamber 4'. The moved fluid as fluid to be treated is introduced through a conduit 16' and a flowing member 11' into a hollow fiber layer 12. The permeated fluid which is passed through the hollow fiber membrane, flows through the inside of the hollow fiber into a fluid chamber 17' and is discharged from an outlet 10' to the outside. Unpermeated treated fluid traverses a hollow fiber layer 5' and is passed through a passage 7 of a partition member 4 and discharged through an outlet 9 to the outside.
