Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the applied density of mixed emitter liquid on the filament uniform and to improve the quality of the lamp, by applying the mixed emitter liquid to the filament mounted on a stem and removing the applied excessive liquid through blowing.
CONSTITUTION: A filament 1 consisting of a double coil or a triple coil is connected between the leads 2, 2, and the leads are held such that the filament is in a nearly horizontal position. Then, a coil portion 1a is received in a tank, and a mixed emitter liquid 5 is supplied into a movable tank 4 having cut-portions 3 at both ends thereof for permitting a leg 1b to be outside of the tank 4. Then, this tank 4 is raised to immerse the coil portion 1a into the mixed liquid 5 for applying this liquid to said portion, and the excessive mixed liquid 5 applied to the filament is blown away by a removing means 6. Thus, the applied density of the emitter on the respective portions of the filament is made uniform, and the quality of the lamp can be improved.
