Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the intensity of beams at the crossing part nearly even by splitting the laser beam of crest-form mode to two beams with its central axis as a boundary and converging the respective beams and superposing respectively separately. CONSTITUTION:The laser beam L of crest-form mode with its central axis being aligned to the center O of the optical system is radiated to a reflecting mirror 1 and the respectively bisected reflected beams La, Lb are obtainable by the reflecting faces 1a, 1b. These beams La, Lb are reflected by concave mirrors 2, 3 respectively and are converged to focuses Fa, Fb. At this time, the respective beams La, Lb are so crossed that their high intensity portions distribute to both sides in the specified position Q just before the focuses and therefore the sectional intensity distributions of light in the position of a face 9 form the beams of top hat mode, whereby the nearly even intensity distribution is obtained.
