Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the title lubricant with low friction and compressive strain, having good dielectric properties and heat resistance, by sintering at a specific temperature a mixture of a tetrafluoroethylene resin and zirconium oxide (or zirconium silicate).
CONSTITUTION: The objective lubricant can be obtained by homogeneously mixing 40W75wt% of a tetrafluoroethylene resin with 60W25wt% of a powdered or flake- shaped zirconium oxide (or zirconium silicate), putting the resulting mixture in a mold to carry out a preliminary molding, sintering at ≥370°C followed by annealing, and then mechanically cutting into desired shapes.
