Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a vacuum generating valve, in which a valve element for permitting and inhibiting flow of compressed air introduced from an outlet port is formed with a means for making the sectional area of an outlet passage located between the inlet port and an outlet port larger at the time when air flow is inhibited than at the time when the air flow is permitted and said means is formed integrally with said valve element, whereby it is enabled to simplify piping arrangement and to make the entire structure compact. CONSTITUTION:In the state of apparatus shown in the drawing, electromagnetic valve 11 is in its de-energized condition. In this state, if compressed air is introduced from inlet port 3, it is passed through bore 2, thru-hole 17, throttle 15 and tapered bore 16 and discharged to the atmosphere via outlet port 9. Here, since velocity of compressed air flow is increased at throttle 15, air in work chamber 28 of suction disk 26 communicated to the throttle 15 via valve chamber 10, passage 4, suction port 5 and piping 27 is drawn out to the atmosphere by the function of Venturi effect, so that inside of the work chamber 28 is evacuated. By the vacuum generated in chamber 28, work 29 is attracted to suction disk 26.
