Abstract
PURPOSE: To realize the application of the hydrogen detector, which is used for supervisory of the water leak of the Na cooling high-speed furnace, also to the high-temperature gas to be measured by providing one or two units of the heating source before and after the diffusion film part of the tubular substance containing the diffusion film part where H2 transmits.
CONSTITUTION: The H2 caused through the reaction between Na and the water is detected for detection of the water leak. Flange 2 to which cylindrical container 3 is fixed is mounted to wall 1 of the cover gas part of the vapor generator or the test tank. Sensor 14 which is controlled by controller 16 of detection part 17 is connected onto flange 2 via pipe 15. Stainless tubular substance 6 is hanged within container 3, and diffusion film part (composed of pd, etc.) 7 of the sleeve type is connected to tube 6 to give the selective transmission to H2 contained in the gas to be measured. Heating source 9 provided at gas inlet 5 of part 7 along with heating sources 8 and 19 provided at gas outlet 4 are controlled by control units 13, 12 and 21 plus thermocouples 11, 10 and 20 each. The gas to be measured rises up flow path 18 and flows out to opening part 4 via the outside of heat insulator 22. Thus the temperature can be measured up to 500°C for the gas by the function of heating source 19.
