Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a better settling in a sedimentation basin, a vertical aeration tank contains air diffusion plates consisting of perforated plate, and a deaerator that removes air from the liquid in the tank.
CONSTITUTION: Waste water enters a vertical aeration tank 11 through inlet pump 6, mixed with active sludge and exposed to particled air supplied through a blower 7, air diffusion nozzles 12 and a perforated plate 13. The waste water is oxidized and decomposed by active sludge, and overflows the top of the aeration tank 11. Then, the water flows from the receiver 33, enters the inlet 22 of a deaerator 21, and deaired by collinding with liquid contained in the internal receiver 24. Then, the water goes out through the outlet 23 and enters a sedimentation basin 3 where solid and liquid are separated. The treated water is discharged from the top of the sedimentation basin 3.
