Abstract
PURPOSE:To miniaturize a head and also to increase integration in degree by providing 1st and 2nd conductors, forming coils with a magnetic-substance film between, by photoetching. CONSTITUTION:On magnetic-substance substrate 201, insulator thin film 209 is formed. Next, coil metal thin film 204 is formed by vapor-deposition or sputtering and photoetching. On it, insulating film 210 and magnetic thin films 203a and 203b are formed. Then, insulating thin film 202 is formed and contact holes 206a and 206b are made in thin film 202 by photoetching. Lastly, coil metal thin film 205 is formed. In this way, coil conductors 204 and 205 are connected through holes 206a and 206b to obtain a coil with sandwiched thin films 203a and 203b. The interval of gap 211 depends upon film thicknesses of thin films 209 and 210. This recording medium moves as shown by arrow 212 and flank 213 is polished to increase the sensitivity in write and read operations.
