Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve higher efficiency of testing by enabling a plurality of test pieces to be disposed parallel to the stationary side and driving side chucks.
CONSTITUTION: Fixing grooves 16 are provided to stationary side and driving side chucks 13, 12, and the end parts of the plural parallel disposed test pieces 11 fixed by using test piece set bolts and nuts 14 by being interposed with test piece fixing plates 15 are mounted in said grooves. Then, when the pull rod 1 connected to the driving side chuck 12 is pulled upward at a low strain rate, stress is loaded simultaneously to all the test pieces 11 and the same stress quantity is given thereto, thus evaluation of the stress corrosion crack characteristics of the plural test pieces 11 becomes feasible through one test. Hence, a plurality of tests may be simultaneously carried out by testing of one cycle and the higher efficiency of testing may be achieved through reduced testing time and reduced working amount.
