Abstract

PURPOSE: Pipe and piping plate are welded together and an enlarged diameter pipe is placed in the welding point directly. By doing so, residual stress by welding is converted from tensile stress to compressive stress for better fixing between pipe and piping plate.
CONSTITUTION: A pipe 2 is inserted to a pipe 1 and they are fixed by a welding 3 and after that an enlarged diameter pipe 4 is placed to the welding point directly. By doing so, utilizing the particular function of the enlarged diameter pipe, residual stress produced by welding is converted from tensile stress to compressive stress for obtaining the effective structure to anti-corrosiveness under the corrosive circumstance. Also the enlarged diameter pipe can be used adjacent to the welding point of the piping plate and in the opposite side of the welding partially.
