Abstract
PURPOSE:To avoid the equalizing circuit from being acted to narrower further the distance between the reproduced pulses, by giving undershoot or ringing for the output waveform of the equalizer after trailing. CONSTITUTION:Figure a-1 shows an example of the equalized waveform(isolated wave), b-1 indicates the waveform without jitter, and c-1 denotes the waveform that the distance between two pulses is smaller than the normal distance T(broken lines are the isolated waveform response for respective pulses) and the reproduced pulse that pulse reproduction is made with the identified level TL. Since this equalized waveform has undershoot as shown in b-1, if jitter is caused as the upper side of c-1, the undershoot of the preceding equalized waveform added to the rising of the next pulse delays the rising time of the subsequent pulse, and since the time when the leading of this waveform intersects the identified level TL is delayed,in comparison with the equalized waveform without undershoot, the jitter of reproduced pulse can be reduced.
